In the fine tradition of “my people” (aka idiots), I, the Tampa Bay Food Monster, have once again taken on one of Tampa Bay’s Food Challenges. This time (in 2011), I visit Florida’s only Quaker Steak & Lube to take on their Triple Atomic Hot Wing Challenge.

Quaker Steak & Lube’s super-intense Triple Atomic sauce is measured at 500,000 Scoville Units, landing it at a mere 100 times as hot as a jalapeño.

Few sane people would get near such heat, let alone put it in their mouths. Watch and recoil in horror as I try to keep my shit together and power through 6 of the hottest wings I’ve ever eaten.
